Almond Espresso Protein Balls

I have been seeing and reading recipes for protein balls. I kept telling myself that I was going to give one a try but have not gotten around to it until the other day. I was looking for a little something sweet to munch on, to satisfy a craving as I kept seeing all the Halloween candy out there…  And thought I would go for it. I was a little unsure that these would be enough to satisfy my sweet craving, two protein balls equaled 1 serving but I was pleasantly surprised! They are just sweet enough, rich and oh so good! I love coffee so these were divine.  Definitely a treat that tastes like a cheat!

Not only are these delicious, they actually have some nutritional value as they contain my favorite morning drink – Shakeology! That means that these little gems have super-food nutrition in them! What they do not have is processed sugar or flour! And they were super simple to make! Just mix, roll and refrigerate!

Now I will have to try other protein bit recipes,  so stay tuned!

Almond Espresso Protein Balls
Serves 12
These delicious treats are sure to satisfy a sweet craving! AND they are actually healthy, containing super food nutrition!

  1. 1 cup all-natural smooth almond butter (just almonds no sugar)
  2. ¼ cup raw organic honey
  3. ¾ cup dry organic old-fashioned rolled oats
  4. 1 scoop Café Latte Shakeology (Don't have it? Contact me - I can hook you up with some)
  5. ½ cup raw sliced almonds
  1. Combine almond butter, honey, oats, Shakeology, and almonds in a medium bowl,
  2. Mix well with a rubber spatula or better yet get your frustrations out and squeeze and knead it with your hands
  3. Shape the mixture into twenty four walnut size balls (level tablespoon)
  4. Place in airtight container.
  5. If doing layers, place wax paper in between layers.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  7. Enjoy
  1. 2 Almond Espresso Balls equals 1/2 yellow container, 2 teaspoons
