“Holy Bat Wings!” What Happened to My Arms?
By Donna&Danielle on May 4, 2016
Summer is coming, I have been eating pretty well, reaching my weight goals, exercising regularly, but when I was trying on summer clothes and looked in the mirror I definitely saw a menopausal “bat woman”. No cape needed…my arms wiggled and jiggled and flapped enough that I probably could have taken off in flight!
As we get older we notice all the changes in our bodies… I don’t expect to have the arms of a twenty year old but like most women who are in a similar age bracket I definitely want arms toned enough that I don’t create a wind storm by accident!

Our skin losses its elasticity and muscles lose tone as we age. We have all heard that. Too many women feel that there is nothing to be done, that jiggly arms after a certain age is just the way it is supposed to be. They think that there is nothing you can do, so just suck it up and accept it….
Well NOT this gal! Just because I spent years of not exercising or caring for myself properly does not mean I have to accept this! I have made great progress in improving my health and fitness and jiggly arms are just another challenge! In fact I accept the challenge and am determined to tone my arms and help those bat wings be less of a wind force! They may never be completely jiggle free but I am determined to feel good in sleeveless shirts, dresses and in a bathing suit! And in doing so to improve my health and fitness by becoming stronger!

So I began a search for arm toning, arm strengthening and bat wing trimming exercises! The interesting thing was most of the exercises were the same as those found on the Upper Fix routine of the 21 Day Fix program. The problem is I don’t want to do just arms and am not an exercise fanatic so doing much more than 30 minutes a day does not have great appeal. I just wanted to add in a little extra exercise each day that will focus on those arms of mine!
What I did find were some great videos by my gal, Autumn Calabrese who developed the 21 Day Fix. The routine below is a less than 5 minute arm workout! A mini “Upper Fix”. I figure I can devote a few more minutes a day to exercise to help reduce my arm jiggle and tone my arms! Here it is:

Just remember you can modify push ups! Don’t skip them just because they are too hard! Do them on your knees, against a wall or counter but do them!
The best part about doing push ups and lifting weights is what you don’t see! You don’t see your bones getting stronger and your body building a barricade against osteoporosis! And none of us want brittle bones!
So let’s get to work on getting sexier arms! You have nothing to lose by doing so except your bat wings!
